5 pounds of lean hamburger meat
4 oz. of
Gringo Billy's Chili Mix
4 - 14.5 oz. cans Eden Organic Crushed Tomatoes (coming soon!)
1 medium onion, chopped
1 - 15 oz. can of
Eden Black Soy Beans
Tomato juice (from above) to make 24 oz.
1-12 oz. can of Beef Broth
Method: Use a large skillet to
brown the meat (medium high heat) in 3 T. of Crisco or any
vegetable Oil. Drain: Add meat to 8 Qt. Chili Pot. Add the
Chili Mix, stir and cook over Med. High heat for 3 Minutes
(this is to "toast the Chili" so it "bonds" to the meat.) Add
the onions and cook another 3 minutes, stirring often. Add the
diced tomatoes and stir well. When pot bubbles again add
tomato juice a little at a time while stirring. Then lower
heat and simmer (partially cover for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.) Chili
should thicken well by now. Add the beans and the beef broth
now and simmer another 15 to 30 minutes (if you can wait that
long!) Serve Hot! Makes 4 quarts! Add Texas Pete Zero Carb Hot
Sauce if you want it HOT!!!
